Bernetta is running for office because she is confident she will make a positive impact in the lives of the hardworking Dallas County taxpayers who find themselves in situations that bring them before the Justice of the Peace.  As a native daughter of Dallas, she has seen how evictions, small claims, debt claims, traffic and other legal matters can cause setbacks for families.  She believes the justice system should be fair and equal for all citizens, and second chances should be considered when warranted to prevent individuals’ futures from being defined by a single incident in their lives.
